Hey guys its Vanessa again with your weekly dose of Precision Nutrition. Today we will be discussing to very differently priced juicers: the Omega J8006 Nutrition Centre Juicer (which is around $300 on amazon) and the Stainless Steel Slow Juicer (which is around $90). So the question today is should you buy the more expensive juicer or is the cheaper one just as good. Before we can answer that question, I have asked professional health Guru Diana MonCrofe to discuss with us not only the negatives and positives of each juicer, but the health benefits of having a juicer in the first place. Now would be an awesome time to check out the Stainless Steel Slow Juicer   and the Omega Juicer.

Ok so before we get onto reviewing each juicer, we need to discuss what a juicer does and why you should have one in the first place. From your professional opinion Diana, what is a juicer, and what are the health benefits from using a juicer?

Diana: Well a juicer is quite simple a machine that extracts the liquid from fruit or vegetables to create a highly nutritious juice, that is not only delicious but contains metabolism boosting enzymes. There are many, many life enhancing health benefits from using a juicer: from a faster, more efficient way to absorb immune boosting nutrients naturally found in fruits and vegetables, to giving you the vitamins your body desperately needs. Interested? Go check it out for yourself!

Well damn, I don’t know about you guys but I already think I’m going to get my self one of these babies. You feel the same? Go have a look!

Diana: I definitely recommend it Vanessa, Juicers are like my one and only at the moment, some days I think I love it more then my husband, don’t tell him I said that.Need something better then your husband? Here you go 🙂

So onto the big question of is a more expensive juicer better or is a cheaper one just as good, to help us answer this we will be reviewing the Omega J8006 Nutrition Centre Juicer which is around $300 and the Stainless Steel Juicer which is around $90. So Diana, what are the features of the Omega Nutrition Centre juicer?

Omega J8006 Nutrition Centre Juicer:

Diana: Ok so this is one fancy little machine you have got yourself here. Not only does it have: an easy-to-use masticating juicer with powerful motor, a low speed of 80 RPMs; meaning no foaming, clogging, or heat build-up, auto pulp-ejection function for continuous juicing, dual-stage juicing system and a quiet operation. But the juicer screen is already installed in the juicer it includes a GE Ultem Auger (part of the machine that extract juice), which is 8x stronger than most other plastics and an incredibly powerful gear reduction which has the same power as a 2HP motor. These amazing features will leave you juicing like a pro. Do you want this fancy little machine? Well here you go!

Stainless Steel Slow Juicer:

Ok so now can you also just outline the features of a Stainless Steel Slow Juicer?

Diana: Ok well the Stainless Steel Slow Juicer is a lot less high tech but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t work the same. With its 1 L container for both juice and 1 L for pulp its’ durable and low-noise DC Motor allows perfect juice output (Low Noise and Slow Speed 80RPM) and its’ dishwasher safe detachable parts, the Stainless Steel Slow juicer is perfect for creating that delicious juices that you desperately want. Feel like this is the one for you? Well it is! So click here….

That does seem a lot less complicated and fancy. But the real question is, which one is better?

That does seem a lot less complicated and fancy. But the real question is, which one is better?

Diana: Well Vanessa, from my professional opinion, it is a very personal decision. It depends on how devoted and passionate you are about juicing and how many times you are going to use it. If you are only going to use it on a once in a while bases, or you aren’t that passionate about it, then the Stainless Steel Slow Juicer is definitely the one for you, it still does its job and in the end that is all you really need. But if you are really passionate about juicing, and you want to try different recipes and you know you will use it on a regular basis, then I would definitely go for the Omega Nutrition Centre juicer.

Well Diana we are unfortunately nearly out of time, but before we go I just wanted to ask what your advice to our listeners would be?

Diana: It would be, if you have never used a juicer before and you are unsure, then get a cheap, simple juicer and try it out, then if you end up loving it, to definitely invest at getting a more expensive, high tech juicer.

Which one are you?  Beginner or A PRO

That’s all the time we have for today, a big thanks to Diana for her input, and I will see you lovelies next week for my next podcast on ‘The diet myths’.
